What the codes do

Three jobs for the codes you hand out.

Each job is a template: fill in your details, pick your colours and print. Change where any of them goes later, from the shop floor.

Promote offers.

Give the first 100 people a discount, then send everyone after them to your shop page. The flyers in people’s bags keep working.

Rules for a shop

Your window works after closing time.

In the day, the first 100 people who scan the window get the autumn offer. After six, the same sticker lets people order for tomorrow. Size it for the pavement: a 20 cm code reads from 2 m.

Selling through an app? One code sends each phone to the right store.

If the phone is an iPhone, send to the App Store. If it’s Android, send to Google Play. Otherwise, send to /order, so no scan hits a dead end.

Codes where people actually meet them.

A small florist's shopfront on a Saturday morning, buckets of dahlias on the wet pavement and a window sticker at eye height carrying a qurl code. A florist's hands wrapping a bouquet in brown kraft paper at the counter, a small printed card by the till carrying a qurl code, a phone face-up beside it. A small white florist's van parked on a residential street with its rear doors open, a printed panel on the inside of the door carrying a qurl code, flower crates stacked inside. A close-up of a plum-coloured gift tag tied with ribbon to a wrapped bouquet, carrying a qurl code.
